Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Niku Popescu received a delegation of Lithuania’s Seimas (Parliament) headed by the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Zygimantas Pavilionis. This was reported by the press service of Lithuania’s Ministry.

Minister Nicu Popescu and Lithuanian officials discussed Moldova’s path to European integration and the country’s significant progress in implementing the nine recommendations of the European Commission.
“I said that we are determined to achieve all the goals set further so that accession negotiations will be launched before the end of this year. In this regard, I thanked Lithuania for its assistance on the path of our European integration, including through professional development programs for civil servants of the MAEPP. We are grateful for the opportunity to adopt the valuable experience of Lithuania.
We also discussed the close friendly relations between our countries and ways to strengthen bilateral dialogue in energy and information security, agriculture, and regional development,” the Moldovan official said.
