Mihai Popsoi has not yet been sworn in as Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI), but he has already announced that he is going on a working visit to Bucharest.
He did not give an exact date but noted that he had spoken with Romanian Foreign Minister Luminita Odobescu.
“We discussed the importance of bilateral relations between Moldova and Romania and cooperation plans for 2024. We also discussed our country’s achievements with the support of the neighboring state. Moldova continues to rely on Romania’s experience in the European integration process. I thanked Luminita Odobescu for the invitation to visit Bucharest, which I will accept with great pleasure as soon as possible,” Mihai Popsoi wrote.

Popşoi also posted a message on Facebook, in which he wanted to thank Nicu Popescu “for his exceptional work and dedication to Moldova as foreign and European integration minister.”
Nicu Popescu announced his resignation on Wednesday morning. He will be in charge of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry until January 29, when he will be succeeded by Mihai Popsoi.
