Individuals aspiring to initiate a business venture or those who have recently established a company within the past three years now have the opportunity to apply for the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Program. This program enables participants to engage in a cross-border exchange, spending up to six months alongside an entrepreneur from an EU country, gaining valuable insights from their wealth of experience. The unveiling of the program’s advantages took place today in Chisinau.
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs serves as a transformative initiative, providing emerging entrepreneurs with the unique chance to glean wisdom from seasoned business professionals overseeing small enterprises in other participating nations. The duration of the internship ranges from a minimum of one month to a maximum of six months.
The primary objective of the program is to enhance the entrepreneurial acumen of participants by fostering collaboration with established entrepreneurs from various EU countries. This collaboration not only cultivates the growth of new businesses but also grants access to diverse networks, markets, and knowledge. Consequently, the program significantly contributes to the expansion and internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises across Europe.

Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, who also serves as the Minister of Economic Development and Digitization, emphasized that the program provides entrepreneurs with a unique opportunity to connect with a partner in a European country, allowing them to acquire fresh knowledge and experiences. Alaiba highlighted the ongoing efforts by authorities to streamline and simplify the initial steps of running a business, aiming to eliminate bureaucratic barriers.
EU Ambassador to Moldova, Jānis Mažeiks, underscored the program’s role as a pivotal step in the Republic of Moldova’s integration into the European community. He emphasized that the initiative equips participants with essential skills for business management and facilitates the exploration of new markets for their products and services.
Crucially, the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Program is financially supported by the European Union, with available resources varying based on the country where the internship takes place.
