On Friday, 7 June, the European Commission will present EU ambassadors with an oral assessment of Moldova and Ukraine’s progress in European integration reforms. Radio Liberty’s editor for European affairs, Rikard Jozwiak, announced it on social network X (formerly Twitter).

Recall, that Hungary, at a meeting of EU ambassadors on 29 May, blocked the approval of the draft negotiating framework on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union because of the national minority rights.

Politico reported that negotiations for Moldova and Ukraine’s EU membership could begin on 25 June. It notes that the EU leaders work to persuade Hungary to give the green light to the process.
