Denmark will allocate $21.5 million to Moldova and Ukraine to accelerate their accession to the EU

On June 25, the Danish Foreign Ministry said it intends to allocate 150 million Danish kroner ($21.58 million) to help Moldova and Ukraine speed up their accession to the EU.

“The 150 million will be allocated until 2030 and will, in practice, help the two countries establish the administrative structures and legislation needed to bring EU membership closer. In the longer term, support will also include candidate countries in the Western Balkans,” the Danish Foreign Ministry said.

Today, June 25, Luxembourg hosts the first meeting of the Moldova-EU Intergovernmental Commission, which will officially launch the EU accession negotiations.
