President Maia Sandu welcomed 53 teachers of Romanian language and other school disciplines from ATU Gagauzia, Dubasari, Taraclia districts, Cahul, and Balti municipalities who will go to Romania for summer courses in Romanian language, literature and civilization.
“This is how the Romanian language creates bridges between communities and countries, and I am convinced that this social link will increase national cohesion and unite people,” President Maia Sandu said. The teachers will study at the University “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” and have the opportunity to discover Iasi.
The President expressed gratitude to the Romanian government, which supports the organization of this summer school. The head of state said that the Romanian government, within the National Program for the Study of the Romanian Language, has provided free courses for 6,550 people in 2023.
“It is important that these programs continue and the number of participants increases,” President Maia Sandu stressed.
