Several actors from Moldova and Romania have received decorations from Maia Sandu for their ”generosity of talent”

On Thursday, September 12, President Maia Sandu awarded the Order of Honor and honorary titles to several actors from Moldova and Romania.

Maia Sandu expressed, “I also had the great pleasure of awarding the Order of Honor for their generosity of talent and contribution to nurturing entire generations of audiences on both sides of the Prut River.”

The founder of the prestigious Shakespeare International Theater Festival in Craiova, actor Emil Boroghina, received the Order of Honor.

Actor, director, and head of the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu,” Petru Hadarca, received the Order of the Republic. The National Theater “Mihai Eminescu” actresses —Diana Decuseara, Ana Tkacenco, Cornelia Suveica, and Olesea Svecla—also received honorary titles.

The head of state added, “I warmly encourage you to attend the events of this extraordinary edition of the Reunion of Romanian National Theaters. We all stand to gain from it.”
