At the Eurasian Women’s Forum, Marina Tauber and Eugenia Gutsul attended as the spokeswoman of the Moscow Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, made new false claims about the elections in Moldova. Zakharova warned that without the “right choice,” families would be canceled, mothers and fathers would disappear, and boys would be turned into girls.
Tauber, with the other Moldovan politician, supported Zakharova’s statements, nodding in agreement as the Moscow official discussed rewriting history after Moldova’s elections.
“When they name parent one and parent 2, they will cancel families, rewrite history, and say that you didn’t exist, and they won’t ask you. It will be late already,” the Russian official says.

Zakharova has previously made other manipulative statements regarding the elections in the Republic of Moldova. The Moscow official referred to the number of polling stations in Russia, citing pre-registration data for the upcoming October 20, 2024, elections. She claimed that Russia has fewer polling stations than Italy, despite having a higher number of registered voters.
