On October 20, citizens of the Republic of Moldova will participate in two important electoral processes: the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum. At the polling stations, people must carry the following documents: identity card and accompanying document, provisional identity card, or passport, even if it has expired. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) presented the information and published an informational video.

“For students eligible to vote: If you study in a different locality from where you are registered, either at your permanent or temporary residence, you can vote at any polling station. You need your identity card and student or pupil ID card issued by the educational institution of that locality,” the authority officials said.

Officials have set up 2,221 polling stations for the October 20 elections. Of these: 1,957 polling stations in the country’s electoral districts, 30 polling stations for voters from the localities on the left bank of the Dniester, and 234 polling stations – for citizens with the right to vote from abroad. In the Chisinau constituency, including suburbs, voters will be expected to exercise their right to vote at 306 polling stations.

The polling stations will be open at 07:00, and the polls will close at 21:00.
