The US will help Moldova deal with “Russian electoral interference”

The United States will help the Republic of Moldova deal with “Russian electoral interference” in the presidential elections and referendum on October 20. White House spokesman John Kirby made the statement in a press briefing.

According to the quoted source, Russia is actively trying to sabotage the elections in Moldova and its European integration.

The US official also spoke about “millions of dollars spent by Moscow in recent months to influence the results of Moldova’s presidential elections,” as well as about “tens of millions of dollars a month invested by Russian influence agent Ilan Shor in NGOs” that propagate a pro-Kremlin discourse.
