Moldovan citizens can vote based on identity card, passport on election day

Moldovan citizens, both in the country and abroad, will be able to vote using either their identity card or passport.

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), citizens can vote with their Moldovan identity card, which verifies their domicile or temporary residence within the polling station’s jurisdiction.

Voters can also use a provisional identity card if it confirms Moldovan citizenship and specifies the holder’s domicile or temporary residence.

Additionally, citizens can vote with a Moldovan passport, even if it has expired.
