The athlete from Moldova ranks fifth in the Self-Improvement Race held in the United States

Moldovan athlete Radu Budan completed the Self-Improvement Race in New York, covering 3,100 miles (about 5,000 km) in 52 days. Budan finished fifth, becoming the first Moldovan to complete this challenging distance.

In his previous achievements, Budan also completed a 10-day race in New York, covering an impressive 1,040 km. Over one year, he participated in more than 43 races.

Ten years ago, another Moldovan athlete, Veaceslav Dodonu, attempted this feat. In 2014, Dodonu ran 2,700 miles (about 4,345 km).
