The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) stated that certain groups deliberately created queues at polling stations in Russia to disrupt the electoral process. According to the MFA, polling stations in the Russian Federation opened at 07:00 local time and are functioning normally. However, they anticipated overcrowding due to attempts to organize illegal voter transportation to these stations.
“We warned the Russian authorities about efforts by certain entities to transport citizens illegally to the polling stations at our Embassy in Moscow. We believe that certain groups intentionally created the crowds at these two polling stations to undermine the elections,” the MFA stated.
The MFA reiterated that they had repeatedly informed Russian authorities and involved parties that illegal voter transportation to polling stations is unacceptable.

Chisinau authorities opened only two polling stations in Russia, both in Moscow, citing the Moldovan embassy’s inability to meet security requirements set by the Information and Security Service (SIS) for other Russian cities.
According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), 21,000 Moldovan citizens registered to vote abroad for the October 20 elections, including about 8,000 from Russia. Each polling station in Russia received 5,000 ballot papers in accordance with electoral regulations, resulting in a total allocation of 10,000 ballot papers for the two stations.
