Moldovans abroad can check online which polling stations are closest to them on the platform diaspora.cec.md. The website also indicates which stations are more crowded and where more ballots are available.
Angela Caraman, the head of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), emphasized the importance of diaspora participation. She noted that the CEC has sent nearly 5,000 ballots to most polling stations outside the country and urged citizens to check their availability.
“We are pleased with this mobilization of citizens, which requires patience and extra effort, considering that some have to travel long distances to exercise their right to vote. At some polling stations, the number of voters who have already voted is quite high. The Central Electoral Commission has printed and sent 5,000 ballots to each polling station. However, we still observe a high influx at some locations,” stated Caraman.
