The winter festivities in Chisinau could begin as early as the first week of December. Mayor Ion Ceban stated it. He noted that preparations are still underway and promised to share more details in the coming days.
“Regarding the winter holidays and the inauguration of the Christmas tree, all preparations are going on. We hope to be able to inaugurate it at the very beginning of December. With details, we will come back in the following days, when we will be sure that we will succeed in all aspects,” Ceban said during the operational meeting of the municipal services on Monday, November 18.

In the meantime, the Christmas market, set up in the square of the National Opera and Ballet Theater “Maria Biesu,” will be inaugurated this year on December 1. It will be open daily, from 10:00 to 23:00, from December 1, 2024 to January 5, 2025.
