The countdown has begun until the holiday spirit lights up the capital! Representatives of Chisinau City Hall have announced that on Sunday, December 1, the Christmas Market will open, and the country’s main Christmas tree will be inaugurated in the Great National Assembly Square.
Starting at 5:00 PM, residents and visitors of the capital are invited to enjoy the winter holiday magic in a fairytale-like atmosphere full of joy and traditions.
Attendees will experience a unique cultural event featuring beloved artists:
- The Santa Claus Orchestra
- The academic choral ensemble Doina
- The Divertisment violin ensemble
- The Vocile Primaverii choir
- Pianists Iurie Mahovici and Anatol Lapicus
Organizers also promise performances by numerous children’s artistic groups and dance ensembles, ensuring a festive atmosphere for everyone.
The Christmas Market will be open from December 1 to January 15 with numerous stands with traditional products, Christmas gifts, decorations, sweets, warm drinks, and more. Visitors will enjoy a diverse program, including concerts, children’s shows, creative workshops, and an area for meeting Santa Claus.
Key attractions at the market include an ice-skating rink, carousels, photo zones, and more.
This year, the Great National Assembly Square, the Metropolitan Cathedral Square, and the area around the Triumphal Arch will be transformed into fairytale-like locations filled with lights, colors, and cheer. Additionally, festive decorations and activities will bring a touch of magic to every sector of the capital.
Chisinau City Hall representatives have approved the schedule of events, which will run until January 6, 2025.
