On Wednesday evening, deputies from the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) had heated discussions with Energy Minister Victor Parlicov in Parliament. The exchange followed Parlicov’s visit to St. Petersburg, where he met with Gazprom chief Alexei Miller.
According to Realitatea sources, the talks aim to address both the delivery of gas to Moldova and a potential price increase. Some MPs are dissatisfied with Parlicov’s work over the past year.
Radu Marian announced that public parliamentary hearings on the energy sector would be after Moldovagaz requested the National Agency for Energy Regulation to increase the natural gas tariff. Authorities postponed a hearing on the issue scheduled for November 27.
