The General Mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, met with Romania’s Ambassador Cristian-Leon Turcanu on Thursday, November 28. The officials discussed projects being implemented in Chisinau with Romania’s support.
“We have strong partnerships with colleagues from counties, cities, and towns in Romania. Besides the infrastructure projects we carry out in Chisinau, we also engage in joint activities across various fields, exchanging experience in education, culture, healthcare, local public administration, and more. We aim to continue fostering a fruitful collaboration and implementing joint projects for the benefit of our citizens,” stated the Mayor of Chisinau.

Additionally, Ion Ceban extended congratulations to Romania’s Ambassador on the occasion of Romania’s National Day.
As a reminder, Romanians worldwide celebrate Romania’s National Day on December 1. This date, established by law in 1990, commemorates a significant historical moment—the Great Assembly of Alba Iulia’s vote for the union of Transylvania with Romania in 1918.
