As of January 1, 2025, the State of Israel will change the rules of entry into its territory for citizens of states with which Israel has a visa-free regime and for Moldovan citizens. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) made the announcement.
“The State of Israel is introducing the ETA-IL system for prior verification and approval of entry and stay in Israel of foreign citizens who wish to visit the State of Israel for various purposes. As of 01.01.2025, foreign citizens of visa-free states will not be able to enter the State of Israel without prior approval through the ETA-IL system,” the MFA reports.
Starting January 1, 2025, the cost of obtaining an ETA-IL for entry approval into the State of Israel will be 25 NIS (approximately 120 Moldovan lei).
