The self-check-in system and facial control could be introduced at the Chisinau International Airport (AIC). The Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Bolea, State Secretary Mircea Pascaluta, and acting air terminal administrator Sergiu Spoiala discussed the subject.
A press release from the Airport’s press service states that advanced screening technologies will reduce waiting times for checks and ensure a safe process for passengers.
“During the meeting, officials discussed several topics, including advanced technologies such as self-check-in implementation, digitization of passport control through facial recognition, and behavioral detection to ensure a fast and secure process. They also addressed the expansion of airport parking with a modern project in the eastern part of the Airport to increase capacity and accessibility, as well as the modernization of infrastructure and terminal expansion,” the message from AIC representatives reads.
