Bomb Threat at Chisinau Airport Causes Flight Delays on Christmas Evening

A false bomb threat targeted Chisinau International Airport on the evening of Wednesday, December 25, reports IPN. The authorities halted several flights for a few hours as a result.

The acting head of the Strategic Communication Section of the General Inspectorate of Border Police, Ilona Railean, stated that officials received the call at 23:08.

“Border Police intervention teams, along with specialized security forces, mobilized to manage the situation and ensure the safety of passengers, airport staff, and all persons inside the terminal,” said Ilona Railean for IPN.

Security teams found no explosive objects or substances during the checks, and officials resumed flights around 01:30.
