Sweden will support the Republic of Moldova with approximately €8.7 million to reduce energy vulnerability. According to Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Benjamin Dousa, the assistance will be directed toward Moldovan households during the winter.
“I want to highlight Sweden’s generous support for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova during difficult times, such as the successive energy crises, including the one we are currently facing,” said Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi.

In addition to this support, discussions focused on Sweden’s backing of Moldova’s European path, its strong commitment to the accession process, and its contribution to implementing reforms.
Benjamin Dousa and Mihai Popsoi also discussed deepening cooperation in trade and investment, emphasizing the exports of Moldovan products and encouraging the presence of Swedish companies in Moldova’s market.
