The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) has deployed five firefighters to strengthen and enhance fire intervention capabilities. They are undergoing training at the “Pavel Zaganescu” Firefighters and Civil Protection Officers School in Boldesti, Romania.
Over ten months, they will learn new techniques and methods for fire suppression, rescuing people from hazardous environments, and providing qualified first aid.
On March 13-14, 2025, IGSU Deputy Chief Aleco Sandu visited them, encouraging teamwork and wishing them success in their training.
“The Moldovan firefighters’ presence in Romania is to exchange experience across all missions and interventions. Throughout the training, they will work alongside their Romanian counterparts, gaining knowledge on rescue operations and interventions in dangerous environments. They will participate in field exercises and acquire theoretical and practical skills for risk-area interventions,” IGSU stated.
