Programme 373: Over 4 Billion Lei Invested in Moldova’s Economy

Programme 373, launched by the Moldovan government in 2023, has surpassed the milestone of 4 billion lei invested in the national economy. So far, 707 companies employing more than 10,000 people have received predictable and advantageous loan conditions through the initiative.

These companies span various sectors, including renewable energy, transport, manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare in Moldova.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean emphasized the program’s impact:

“In the last two years, through Programme 373, the government has been supporting entrepreneurs willing to develop their businesses and create well-paid jobs at home. The investments will generate over 2,000 jobs and support the development of small- and medium-sized enterprises in various fields.”

Recean also highlighted that Moldova’s investment climate has significantly improved over the past three years. He noted that Moody’s, the international credit rating agency, provided Moldova with its best rating in a decade, recognizing the government’s efforts to strengthen the economy and stimulate investment.

Through Programme 373, SMEs can receive up to 40 million lei in loans, with the Credit Guarantee Fund covering up to 80% of the loan value—a major step toward easier financing and economic resilience.
