In Switzerland, it’s Eurovision; in India, it’s Miss World. While Moldova has no representative at the first international contest, it does have someone to support at the beauty pageant. Moldova’s representative, Anghelina Chitaica, just passed the national costume round. She wore a creation by a local designer, reports Cancan.md.
Anghelina walked the runway in a traditional outfit reimagined by Alina Bradu: a long-sleeved blouse that reached the floor, a short skirt, a belt turned into a corset, tall red boots, and an oversized headpiece decorated with flowers. The team also released the sketch that inspired the outfit.

“The team poured inspiration and effort into every spectacular look! The dress that caused a stir resulted from hours of discussion, creative thinking, and teamwork. Under the careful guidance of the Miss Moldova team, the talented Angelina Chitaica sketched a stunning design, which Moldova’s acclaimed designer Alina Bradu brought to life with mastery, all in record time, while also preparing a new 70-piece collection! We are deeply grateful, Alina, for over 10 years of partnership and the magic you create! The headpiece? A story of its own… Finally, it came to life thanks to the director of the Miss Moldova contest, and the result speaks for itself! When talent, professionalism, and passion come together, art is born. Thank you to the entire team for the magic we showed the world!” the Miss Moldova team wrote.
