Chisinau will host the European Rugby Sevens Championship from June 27 to 29 at Dynamo Stadium, welcoming 24 teams from across Europe for one of the capital’s biggest sporting events of the year.
The Chisinau City Hall financed the event through the General Directorate of Education, Youth, and Sports, allocating approximately 600,000 lei for its organization.
Admission will be free, and organizers are encouraging the public to attend, support the teams, and enjoy the dynamic atmosphere of this international tournament.

Rugby 7s is a fast-paced version of traditional rugby, featuring seven players per team and shorter match durations, played on a full-sized field. Known for its speed and intensity, the discipline is also part of the Olympic Games program.
