President Maia Sandu of the Republic of Moldova visited the European Union Partnership Mission (EUPM) office on Tuesday, June 24, where she met with the leadership and team members. The discussions focused on reviewing the achievements of the Mission’s first operational phase and setting priorities for its new mandate, according to a press release.
The head of state praised EUPM’s valuable contribution to strengthening Moldova’s institutional capacities, particularly in crisis management and the fight against hybrid threats.
The European Union demonstrated its continued support for Moldova’s European path by extending the Mission’s mandate.

The European Union established the Partnership Mission in Moldova on April 24, 2023, in response to a request from the Moldovan Government. It expanded the Mission’s activities on May 20, 2025.
