President Maia Sandu met with Romania’s Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragos-Nicolae Pislaru, to discuss Moldova’s European integration and key infrastructure priorities.
President Sandu thanked Romania for its consistent support in developing Moldova’s economy and advancing its EU accession path. She emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between Chisinau and Bucharest, especially given Romania’s valuable experience as an EU member.
The two officials discussed the need to accelerate strategic interconnection projects, including:
- Construction of new bridges over the Prut River
- Completion of the Balti–Suceava and Straseni–Gutinas power lines
- Reducing waiting times at border crossing points
