Outstanding Performance at the World Games in China: Athlete Artiom Livadari Wins Gold

Between August 6–10 in Chengdu, China, Artiom Livadari claimed the gold medal at the 2025 World Games in Muaythai, competing among the world’s top eight athletes.

On the first day, Livadari defeated Croatian Vito Kosar, the 2024 world champion in the 86kg category. He then secured a semifinal victory against the host nation’s Zhang Chengcheng and triumphed in the final against American Aaron Ortiz, the previous champion and three-time world titleholder.

“This performance confirms Artiom Livadari’s status as one of the most outstanding Muaythai athletes globally, and his gold medal in Chengdu marks a historic achievement for both Moldovan sports and the Muaythai discipline,” stated the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC).

Representing the Republic of Moldova, Livadari had previously won gold at the 2023 European Games and held the 2024 IFMA world title in the 81kg category. Because the World Games excluded this category, he qualified in a higher class and once again proved his skill and determination.
