The Leova–Bumbata border crossing will extend to a 24/7 schedule, letting travelers cross at any time, day or night. The new schedule will take effect on August 15, 2025, starting at 8:00 a.m.
The customs and border authorities of the Republic of Moldova and Romania agreed to extend the schedule to 24/7 to make travel easier and more comfortable for citizens.
“Extending the schedule to 24/7 meets the expectations of traffic participants and increases the predictability of crossings on this border segment. I thank my colleagues from the Republic of Moldova and Romania for their effective cooperation and the mobilization needed to quickly implement the new schedule,” said Alexandru Iacub, Director of the Customs Service.

According to the authorities, the new schedule will bring greater flexibility, reduce congestion by spreading traveler flow throughout the entire day, and provide easy access for residents of nearby areas and those transiting the region. The measure gives travelers the freedom to choose the most convenient time to cross the border.
Leova–Bumbata is the seventh crossing point on the segment with Romania, opened in 2023 to ease traffic on main road corridors and support the reorientation of trade toward the European market.
