TikTok will implement extensive measures to protect the integrity of Moldova’s parliamentary elections on 28 September 2025. The platform has established an Election Mission Control Center, staffed with local and international experts in cybersecurity, disinformation, and electoral process integrity, according to a press release from Practic Media Group, TikTok’s representative in Moldova.
Key initiatives include:
- Launching an Election Center within the app, in partnership with the Central Electoral Commission, offering official voting information, key data, and educational resources developed with Stop Fals!.
- Labeling electoral content and directing users to verified sources, following the 2024 model, when the Election Center was accessed over 85,000 times.
- Enforcing anti-disinformation policies using advanced moderation technologies and teams collaborating with local and international fact-checkers, including Reuters.

- Eliminating coordinated networks and deceptive behaviors, such as fake accounts and attempts to manipulate public discussion. In 2025, TikTok shut down three networks totaling over 400 accounts.
