The VinOpera International Classical Music Festival will return on September 13 at Castel Mimi for its 8th edition, presenting a remarkable musical program and combining cultural and social impact. In an interview with RLIVE TV, Cristina Frolov, President of the Constantin Mimi Foundation and organizer of the event, explained how the initiative began:
“We conceived this idea in 2017, when Maestro Eugen Doga and I prepared the first show in the VinOpera series while walking around the castle grounds. I remember him telling me: ‘Cristina, these walls sing, they must always sing.’ He blessed us to make this event happen.”
Cristina Frolov: “VinOpera is one of those events you must see at least once in your life.”
This year, approximately 150 international visitors are expected to attend VinOpera at Castel Mimi to enjoy classical music and high-quality wines.
“VinOpera is one of those events you must see at least once in your life. Over 1,000 elegantly dressed people will join us, creating a distinguished and incredibly positive atmosphere. We have a young, very talented conductor, and the Camerata Orchestra will perform with us for the first time. On stage, Maestro Cristian Spataru and international artists such as Sorana Negrea, Alexandru Constantin, and others will perform,” said Cristina Frolov.

VinOpera – a cultural evening with social impact
VinOpera is not just a musical show; it also supports the community.
“VinOpera is not a commercial project, but it serves as a platform to attract partners who later help us do good and support people in Bulboaca and surrounding communities,” emphasized Cristina Frolov.
This year, the festival will provide six folk ensembles from Bulboaca, Harbovat, and Anenii Noi with musical instruments they have waited for years. Additionally, each ticket purchased contributes to the foundation’s project supporting children with disabilities and their families.

“We have already reached over 100 beneficiaries – children who received therapy and families who attended informational and support sessions. We hope to grow this number, as trained staff will continue providing assistance,” she added.

Classical music and fine wine – the perfect tandem
The evening will begin with a glass of 9 Muses Feteasca Alba sparkling wine, which won Gold at the Berliner Wine Trophy international competition.
“We warmly invite everyone on September 13, at 19:00, to Castel Mimi to enjoy an extraordinary evening and to contribute to doing a lot of good,” concluded Cristina Frolov.
