The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on September 9 that it has sent out the envelopes for mail-in voting to the polling stations designated for this purpose. The ballots will ultimately reach the USA, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
Moldovan citizens in these countries, who registered in advance to vote by mail, will receive the envelope and follow the instructions included inside. The completed ballot must be placed in the envelope, sealed, and sent back.
The envelopes with the ballots must arrive at the polling station no later than September 26, 2025, at 18:00, according to the host country’s time zone.

In 2025, 2,472 people applied to vote by mail. This year, the procedure has been extended to 10 countries, compared to 6 in 2024.
