The 8th edition of the VinOpera International Classical Music Festival gathered on Saturday, September 13, at Castel Mimi, talented musicians and a distinguished audience who enjoyed opera under the open sky.
Among the guests who chose VinOpera this weekend were the ambassadors of France, Romania, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, the chargé d’affaires of the U.S. Embassy, and the former head of the U.S. diplomatic mission.


“VinOpera Brings Europe to the Republic of Moldova”
High praise for the VinOpera Festival and the Constantin Mimi Foundation came from Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Romanian Ambassador Cristian-Leon Turcanu.
“This place has been known across the European Union since 2023. Our unique opportunity is 2028: this place, and our entire country, to be part of the European Union. The Republic of Moldova, with the talents showcased tonight, can proudly represent our culture and traditions,” declared Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

“VinOpera brings the two banks of the Prut closer together, brings Europe here, and takes the Republic of Moldova into Europe. This event proves that Moldova and its people are truly pro-European. We are looking forward to officially welcoming them into the European Union,” stated Romanian Ambassador Cristian-Leon Turcanu.

135 Italian Citizens Discover VinOpera at Castel Mimi
Among the international guests were 135 Italian journalists, bloggers, and tourists, who arrived in Moldova on a three-day mystery trip organized by the Investment Agency in partnership with Wizz Air.
The audience enjoyed a classical music performance, applauding the arias sung by Bucharest National Opera soloists Sorana Negrea, Georgiana Dumitru, Andrei Petre, and Alexandru Constantin, accompanied by the Chisinau Municipal Orchestra Camerata, under Cristian Spataru’s baton.

VinOpera – A Strong Message of Solidarity, Unity, and Social Support
“This evening reaffirms our shared commitment to culture as the foundation of both national and European identity. I want to share a story dear to us. The Constantin Mimi Foundation has completed the project ‘Hope and Support for Children with Disabilities’, funded by the European Union. We hope that in the coming years we will inaugurate a rehabilitation center for children with special needs, unique in the region. We invite you to join us in achieving this ambitious project. Dear friends, VinOpera shows us that when we work together, we can do good,” said Cristina Frolov, President of the Constantin Mimi Foundation.

The 8th edition of the VinOpera International Classical Music Festival was organized by the Constantin Mimi Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Chisinau “Mihai Eminescu,” in partnership with Mastercard, Orange, and Castel Mimi.
