President Maia Sandu will represent the Republic of Moldova at the European Political Community (EPC) Summit in Copenhagen on 1–2 October 2025. Denmark currently holds the rotating presidency of the EU Council.
Sandu will deliver a speech at the opening session and hold bilateral and multilateral talks with European leaders, heads of state, and government officials. Discussions will focus on Moldova’s EU accession process, strengthened by the strong mandate citizens gave in the September 28 parliamentary elections, as well as on the country’s economic development and regional peace and security.
The EPC was created on the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron as a platform for political dialogue on peace, security, and cooperation between EU members and non-members. The inaugural summit took place in Prague in October 2022, and Moldova hosted the second edition in Bulboaca in June 2023.
