The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has submitted all the necessary documents to the Constitutional Court to confirm the results of the September 28 parliamentary elections and validate the mandates of the elected deputies.
The CEC stated that the file includes the official record of vote centralization, the lists of elected candidates and alternates, and the general report on how the elections were conducted.
The Constitutional Court must confirm or reject the legality of the elections within ten days after receiving the documents. The Court will also validate the mandates of the elected deputies and confirm the lists of alternates, but only after resolving all complaints submitted to electoral bodies or the courts.
Following the September 28 elections, the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) won 55 seats, the Patriotic Bloc (BEP) secured 26 seats, the Alternative Bloc obtained 8 seats, while both the Our Party and the Home Democracy Party each won 6 seats.
