The Republic of Moldova is entering the cold season fully prepared, Minister of Energy Dorin Junghietu announced ahead of the Government meeting on October 8, dedicated to preparations for the 2025–2026 heating season.
According to the minister, Energocom has completed all necessary natural gas purchases for the current gas year and has fully replenished the country’s strategic reserves.
“The heating season in Moldova has started, and the country is ready for winter. Energocom has made all required gas purchases for the 2025–2026 season and fully completed its safety stocks. (…) Moldelectrica is about 70% ready. Coal and fuel oil have both been secured at 100%,” Junghietu stated.
