President Maia Sandu will no longer have a dedicated adviser for Diaspora relations, presidential spokesperson Igor Zaharov confirmed for REALITATEA.MD.

According to Zaharov, “the responsibilities of the adviser for diaspora affairs will be taken over by Ms. Larisa Miculet, who currently manages relations with citizens.”

The announcement follows the departure of Elena Druță, who on Wednesday, October 15, announced the conclusion of her mandate as Adviser to the President for Diaspora Relations.

In a message shared on social media, Druta expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her and described her tenure as “a great responsibility and an honor.”

The change comes amid broader administrative adjustments within the Presidential Office, aimed at consolidating communication and engagement with Moldovan citizens both at home and abroad.
