Today, October 27, authorities carried out seven searches at seven locations targeting six individuals aged 28 to 44, residing in Balti, Sangerei, and Riscani. Investigators conducted the actions as part of a case on the preparation of destabilizations and mass disorder in the Republic of Moldova, organized through training sessions in Serbia.
“Since July of this year, an organized group allegedly acted with direct intent and accepted financial benefits to carry out large-scale illegal activities. Using various platforms and messaging apps, group members planned destructive actions targeting state buildings, historical monuments, and other strategic objectives.
The group aimed to provoke social tension, trigger violent protests, and destabilize public order while endangering citizens’ safety,” the Police of the Republic of Moldova stated.
Investigators also found that the suspects recruited and organized members into groups coordinated via WhatsApp and Telegram, where special communication channels were created. Coordinators issued direct instructions for planned actions, and participants received remuneration through electronic wallets or cash payments.
