Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu welcomed the decision announced on November 4 in Brussels, which recognized the Republic of Moldova’s progress on its European path. He emphasized that his team still has much work ahead and pledged that the government will intensify its efforts to advance reforms.
“I want to congratulate all of you who contributed to our EU accession process—members of civil society who ensure transparency and access to information, which are fundamental European values. It is very good news, and I am proud and happy that we can begin our first government meeting with this recognition from Brussels of the progress our country has achieved under very difficult conditions,” Munteanu said before the cabinet meeting.
He noted that, despite cyberattacks and subversive activities, Moldova has managed to implement reforms and move rapidly forward on its European path.
The Prime Minister thanked the team led by Dorin Recean for their work and stressed the importance of continuing all ongoing measures to accelerate progress.
“I want to thank all my colleagues, including the ministers from the Recean government, for their contribution. But we still have a lot to do. We must work even harder—around the clock, without weekends—to achieve even greater progress,” Munteanu said.
The government led by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu was sworn in on October 31, 2025, and the cabinet members took their oath on November 1, 2025.
