On November 4, 2025, Brussels hosted the 7th edition of the European Parliament of Enterprises (EPE) — the largest exercise of economic democracy in Europe, which brought together over 700 entrepreneurs from across Europe and partner countries. The Republic of Moldova proudly participated through the Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, led by its president, Sergiu Harea.
During the event, entrepreneurs acted as European deputies for a day, debated current economic issues, exchanged views with EU decision-makers, and voted on key topics relevant to the business community.
Vladimír Dlouhý, President of Eurochambres, delivered an official message to Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, presenting the main conclusions of the session:
- 93% of entrepreneurs face additional supply chain challenges due to geopolitical tensions;
- 57% experience negative effects from US tariffs;
- 91% call on the European Commission to appoint an EU Representative for SMEs;
- 86% believe that current sustainability reporting does not effectively enhance competitiveness.
The participation of the CCI RM delegation in EPE 2025 highlights the Moldovan business community’s active engagement in the European economic dialogue and its commitment to sustainable and competitive economic integration.
