Igor Grosu and Mihai Popsoi head to the US: meetings, diaspora, and interviews

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will pay a working visit to the United States between December 2 and 10. Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi is also on an official visit to the U.S., taking place from December 1 to 9.

According to Parliament representatives, while in Washington, Igor Grosu will hold meetings with members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, as well as discussions at the State Department and the White House. The agenda includes strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and enhancing cooperation in the fields of security, the economy, and democratic development.

The Speaker will also meet with Moldovan citizens living in Washington, Chicago, and North Carolina.

Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi will remain in the United States until December 9. On December 6, he will meet with Moldovan community members in Chicago and visit two companies operated by citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

“The discussions will focus on deepening the strategic dialogue with the United States, attracting investment, expanding economic cooperation, and enhancing collaboration in security, energy, and sustainable development,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

During his visit, Popsoi will take part in a public event at the Hudson Institute and will give interviews to Fox News, CNN, Newsmax, Foreign Affairs, and The Washington Post.
