The Central Electoral Commission found that 59 of the 63 political parties required to submit financial reports for the second half of 2025 complied with the legal deadline and procedure, achieving a compliance rate of over 93 percent. Four parties violated the law by submitting reports late or providing incomplete documentation, revealing ongoing problems with financial discipline among some political groups.
The CEC analysis identified the most serious violations among parties with repeated non compliance. The Socialist Party submitted its report only in hard copy, in violation of legal requirements. The political party Chance, PACE, and the Force of Alternative and Salvation of Moldova failed to meet the January 15, 2026 deadline. These breaches reflect a pattern of non compliance, prompting the CEC to notify the Ministry of Justice to initiate dissolution procedures or to add the findings to cases already pending in court.
The CEC data also show a decline in the number of active political parties. Courts have already dissolved three formations through final and irrevocable rulings, and the electoral authority will request their removal from official registers. Overall, the findings point to stricter oversight of party financing while confirming that compliance with financial rules remains a key condition for maintaining legal status in Moldova’s political system.
