The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel has received 17 requests for the evacuation of citizens from the region, while the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the United Arab Emirates has received 96, Moldova’s diplomatic service in Chisinau announced. Hundreds of Moldovan citizens have called emergency numbers or sent messages to the email addresses of the country’s diplomatic missions in the region.

The embassy in Israel received 30 calls with questions about a possible evacuation flight. Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv remains closed, and citizens can travel by land to Egypt or Jordan to leave the war-affected area.

Diplomats in Qatar received five requests for consular assistance. At the same time, 15 citizens sought information about the current situation, including the possibility or advisability of evacuation.

The diplomatic mission in the United Arab Emirates registered 96 evacuation requests. Three consular assistance cases are under review, two concerning accommodation expenses and one related to transit on the Manila-Dubai-Chisinau route.

The hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova received 94 calls regarding the situation in the Middle East. Officials also processed and responded to 65 email inquiries.
