The Security and Intelligence Service of Moldova has added two new individuals to the national list of persons involved in terrorist activities and the financing of terrorism.
The individuals are Sami Jasim Muhammad Jaata Al-Jaburi and Abd El Hamid Salim Ibrahim Brukan Al-Khatouni, both Iraqi citizens recently included on international sanctions lists. Authorities published the SIS order in the Official Gazette, according to IPN.
According to public data, Sami Jasim Muhammad Jaata Al-Jaburi is considered one of the main figures responsible for financing the Islamic State, as he has been involved in managing the group’s resources and revenues.
The second individual, Abd El Hamid Salim Ibrahim Brukan Al-Khatouni, is also linked to financial support activities for the same organization.
