No explosive objects or substances were detected after a drone fell onto a residential building in Chisinau, the National Police of Moldova announced. Authorities emphasized that they carried out a thorough inspection because the incident occurred in a densely populated area.

Specialists are now conducting a detailed forensic examination of the drone’s components to determine their structure and origin.

A resident alerted authorities, and police officers, including experts from the explosive ordnance unit, arrived at the scene and secured the perimeter. For safety reasons, they temporarily evacuated residents until completing all checks.

According to preliminary information, the drone was damaged after it struck the building’s roof. Authorities have recovered the object and will subject it to further expert analysis.

Witnesses said the incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. After specialists completed their inspection, residents returned to their apartments.

The drone reportedly fell on the same building in the Telecentru area where a fire had recently occurred.
