Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi will pay a working visit to the China from May 21 to 25 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral dialogue and promote cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and China in the fields of economy, trade, investment, culture, education, and tourism.
In Beijing, Mihai Popsoi will meet Chinese officials responsible for foreign affairs, agriculture, trade, culture, and international development, as well as representatives of the business and academic communities.
Later, in Shanghai, the head of Moldovan diplomacy will participate in the Moldova–China Economic Forum, where he will meet local authorities, Chinese investors, and members of the Moldovan diaspora.
The last visit to China by a foreign minister of the Republic of Moldova took place in 2018.
