Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu delivered messages to children on the occasion of International Children’s Day, which people celebrate today, June 1, in the Republic of Moldova and many other countries.

“Dear children, you are the ones who make the world a better place. Believe in yourselves, in your dreams, and in your power to change the future. Happy Children’s Day to all children!” Igor Grosu said.

Alexandru Munteanu wished all children to grow up healthy, curious, and confident. He also encouraged them to ask questions, explore the world, and have the courage to follow their dreams.

“There is a time in life when a summer seems endless, a single day can become an adventure, and the future appears limitless. That time is called childhood. On International Children’s Day, I wish all children to grow up healthy, curious, and confident. To ask questions, discover the world, and have the courage to pursue their dreams. Our duty is to give them the opportunity to succeed.

That is why we invest in education, better schools and kindergartens, cultural and sports activities, and opportunities that reach every child in the Republic of Moldova. Because investing in children is the most important investment a country can make. And to parents, I wish what may be the most valuable thing of all — time spent together with their children. Childhood passes quickly, but the memories we create together last a lifetime. Happy Children’s Day to all children! You are the most beautiful present and the most important future of the Republic of Moldova,” the prime minister said.

President Maia Sandu also delivered a message on the occasion. She encouraged children to spend their summer vacation away from screens and as close to books as possible.
