Mihai Popsoi held a phone conversation with his Hungarian counterpart, Anita Orbán. The Moldovan foreign minister congratulated her on taking office and invited her to pay a working visit to the Republic of Moldova.

“We discussed the European path of the Republic of Moldova, the current state of Moldovan–Hungarian relations, as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation. We appreciate Hungary’s support in advancing our country’s accession process. We agreed to organize, in the near future, interministerial political consultations and a meeting of the Moldovan–Hungarian joint intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation,” Popsoi said.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the Republic of Moldova and Hungary maintain good relations that should be strengthened through close cooperation, mutual trust, and the development of concrete projects.

“We continue to rely on Hungary’s support in advancing our country’s European path,” he added.
