About 3,700 foreign nationals obtained work permits in Moldova over the past six months. Another 114 received residence permits, while 104 were expelled for violating the country’s residency regulations.
According to data obtained by Realitatea, most of those granted work permits came from Nepal (1,110), Bangladesh (650), Uzbekistan (604), and India (276).
Among those who obtained residence permits, the largest groups were citizens of Russia (38) and Ukraine (27).
Regarding expulsions for breaching residency rules, the report notes 15 Azerbaijani citizens, 13 from Uzbekistan, 12 each from Tajikistan and Bangladesh, 11 from Sri Lanka, nine each from Nepal and India, and seven from Russia. Similar measures were also applied to individuals from the United States, Cameroon, China, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Nigeria.
